Go For It
Day-1
Go For It Playlist
For a few years now, my good friend Kevin writes down one word or a sentence that will help define his year. That has continued to inspire me to write a word or a sentence that will help inspire and shape my year. "Go For It"- that's it! That's my sentence for the year. I've written down goals, ideas and dreams I hadn't pursued because of life. Somehow life got in the way of me Going For It.
I'm not sure where you are when it comes to your goals and dreams but my heart for you as you begin this new year is that you'd "Go For It". How many people have you met with dreams or goals unfulfilled? That doesn't have to be you. All you have to do is take a small step each day and "Go For It".
Reflection Questions:
-
1. What's your one word or sentence that will help inspire your 2023?
-
2. What small step can you take?
Scripture: Psalms 20:4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Prayer:
Dear God, help me to be consistent with my goals and see them through until they are complete.
Go For It
Day-2
Go For It Playlist
Your journey is your journey. It is both easy and natural to compare your life to the lives of those around you or those you see online. For some of us, that can motivate us to "Go For It" but for many of us, it can be a reason for us not to try. You may say things like:
1. I'll never be a good as...
2. What if I fail?
3. What if no one likes it?
4. Everyone's so far ahead of me, will this ever happen?
These questions are understandable and quite frankly justifiable. But we are reminded in Mark 9:23 "... Anything is possible if a person believes.” When you believe the things you are working towards can happen, your perspective changes. You begin to say things like:
1. I'm going to be the best person I can be...
2. What if I succeed?
3. I can't wait for people to experience this...
4. This will happen....

Remember, your journey is your journey. Take your time. Work as hard as you can and enjoy the moment.

Reflection Questions:
-
1. What can I do now to enjoy the journey?
-
2. What goal or dream do I need to work towards achieving?
-

Scripture: Mark: 9:23
“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
Prayer:
God, help me to believe in myself and to enjoy this journey I am on.
Go For It
Day-3
Go For It Playlist
My mother said this to me years ago, "Tony, it's easier for God to steer a moving car than a parked car. Whatever you do, don't stop moving". WOW! Think back to everything you said you wanted to accomplish. Every goal, every dream what has come true? What is still on your vision board? Whether you move 100mph or 5mph, start moving. Sometimes we can get so focused on how big the destination is, we disqualify ourselves.
I watched my nephew order the biggest cookie I'd ever seen and thought to myself, there's no way he's going to finish that cookie in one sitting. I was right. He didn't but he also wasn't attempting to. He took his time, enjoyed every single bite and it took almost 3 days for him to finish. He said, "Tony, the longer it takes me to finish this cookie, the more time I have to enjoy it one bit at a time". The same goes for each of us. Take each day, each goal and each dream one step at time.

Reflection Questions:
-
1. What's one goal you can accomplish this year?
Scripture: Colossians: 3:23
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Prayer:
God, thank you for the dreams and goals you have given me.
